SHARED READING BUNNY AND BILAL THE ROBOT WEEK 3 (17.7.2025)
Bunny, Bilal, and Our Growing Garden – Week 3 Update! 🌿
Today was another exciting day in our shared reading journey with Bunny and Bilal the Robot! The children have been eagerly looking forward to seeing what happened to the seeds we planted last week — and SubhanAllah, we had a wonderful surprise!
🌱 Our Seeds Have Sprouted!
Last week, with little hands and big hopes, we dug small holes and planted seeds into soft garden beds. We watered them gently and marked our spots with our handmade Bunny characters. This week, when we checked in on our garden… Masha-Allah! Tiny green seedlings were peeking through the soil! The children gasped with joy! 🌱
🧐 Guess the Plant!
We gathered around and observed the seedlings closely. Can you guess what it is?
It’s water spinach (kangkung)! Just like in the story of Bunny and Bilal. What a beautiful moment of connection between the book and real life. The children were amazed — the plant they read about had come to life right before their eyes.
🌿 Time to Move to a Bigger Home
Our seedlings were starting to grow tall, and it was time to give them more space. So today, we learned how to gently move the seedlings into a larger container. But first, we needed to soften the soil.
💧 Water Before Work
We used spray bottles to gently mist the soil before touching it. “Spray, spray, spray,” we said together as we watched the water soak in. The water made it easier to loosen the roots and avoid hurting the fragile plants.
✌️ Careful Hands with Tweezers
Using tweezers, the children carefully pulled out the seedlings. It was a delicate job — and not as easy as it looked! One of our friends accidentally pulled out a stem without the roots. Oops! 😅 But that’s okay — we reminded each other that making mistakes is how we learn. We celebrated the effort and tried again, this time with even more gentleness.
🪣 Into the Bucket They Go!
Once the seedlings were free, we transferred them into a big bucket filled with fresh, soft soil. Each child took turns placing the seedlings and patting the soil gently around them. As always, we began with “Bismillah,” remembering that even simple actions like planting can be full of blessings when done with the right intention.
@kembarabijak Today, we continued our shared reading program with Bunny and Bilal the Robot. Last week, we dug a hole and planted some seeds. This week, we saw the seedlings. Alhamdulillah! Can you guess what plant it is? It’s water spinach! Masha-Allah—just like in the book! ❤️ We decided to move it to a bigger space. We used a tweezer to gently pull out the seedlings. But before that, we sprayed some water to make the soil soft. Oops! One of our friends accidentally pulled out the stem without the roots! 😂 It’s okay—it’s part of the learning process. We moved the seedlings into a bucket. Our teacher always reminds us to say Bismillah before doing anything. We hope the seedlings will grow bigger next week. Until then, we’ll continue to water them every day, insya-Allah. See you next week, water spinach! And you too, Bilal—please help us water our water spinach on the weekends! 😊 #selamatdatangketadikakembarabijak #tadikakembarabijak #pendaftaran2026bakaldibuka #bestausekolahkami #wassap0177784681 ♬ Lively Day - Kim Sung Hwan
✅ Water it every day
✅ Observe any changes
✅ And, most importantly — ask Bilal the Robot to help during the weekends! 🤖😊
The children waved goodbye to their plants and said, “See you next week!” We can’t wait to see how much they grow, Insya-Allah. This simple gardening activity has taught us so much — patience, care, responsibility, and the joy of seeing Allah’s creations in action.
Until next time, dear water spinach… and thank you, Bunny and Bilal, for helping us fall in love with planting! 💚
